Our portfolio of clients includes businesses within the manufacturing, retail, TV & film, marketing, beauty & e-commerce sectors, together with professional consultants, tradesmen and farmers.
Curlew Accounting is managed by Paul Barron. Paul is a member of both the Institute of Certified Practising Accountants and the Association of Accounting Technicians. He is also an Affiliate member of the Association of Charity Independent Examiners. Paul has worked within the accountancy profession since 1991. He trained with a large independent practice in Newcastle upon Tyne, before spending almost ten years with a small practice in Hexham and then working as a manager within a top-30 national accountancy firm. Paul's experience includes accounts preparation, VAT returns, payroll, bookkeeping and associated personal & business taxation matters for a wide range of clients.
Paul has worked with a variety of different manual and computerised bookkeeping systems. He specialises in QuickBooks and is a member of the Quickbooks Professional Advisors programme. Paul was also the Treasurer and a Director of a charitable company managing a local pre-school nursery from 2005 – 2009. This voluntary role gave Paul valuable experience of the day to day issues involved in running a small charity and not-for-profit organisation.
